What piece of music most reminds you of your childhood years and what piece of music would you like to pass on to the next generation? For example, I have very vivid memories of my father always singing ‘Road to Morocco’. The title track to one of the Bob Hope and Bing Crosby ‘road to…’ movies of the same name. It’s hardly a classic, but it conveys to me a fun-filled atmosphere of laughter and joy. In contrast, the track I would like to pass on to my daughter would be David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’. A beautiful song about two young lovers Bowie would see every day by the Berlin wall as he recorded the Berlin trilogy of albums.
